Who We Are

As senior florist and proprietor of Florescence, my name is Elise Ciampaglia. My team and I are extremely passionate about providing beautiful flower arrangements for weddings, corporate clients and events.

I started Florescence back in 2009 and am incredibly proud it of it. Having worked in various sides of the industry, including designing bouquets for supermarkets, working on a flower stall and in a florist shop too, running Florescence and specialising in weddings is absolutely my favourite thing! I truly believe that everyone deserves gorgeous flowers for their weddings and feel privileged to be part of my clients’ special days, creating their dream weddings!

How Green is Florescence?

If there's one thing we're passionate about at Florescence, it's beautiful natural things. Isn't it mind blowing that stunning flowers come out of the muddy ground? This is a beautiful, incredible planet we live on and we want to keep it that way.

So what do we do at Florescence to help the cause? We are well aware that being an industry based on imports, our combined carbon footprint could be smaller. So we do what we can to reduce our footprint:

Where possible, we minimise trips to the flower market to once a week to travel fewer miles, saving on fuel and emissions.

When unpacking new stock, rather than discard the cellophane flower packaging, we re-use it, rolling it into tight balls and use it to support bridal bouquets in our recyclable yet beautiful presentation card boxes.

With water being a major ingredient in our business, we use a water butt and also leave containers outside to collect rainwater. Water is re-used until it is no longer clean enough to do so.

All green waste is recycled and taken to a local composting centre in Basingstoke.

We’ve switched to using 100% biodegradable floral foam.

As a small business, reducing waste and being responsible for our part in saving planet Earth is an ongoing and ever improving situation and a challenge we're happy to relish.
